At Movement Evolution Scotland CIC we are committed to creating an inclusive, and accessible environment that enables as many individuals as possible to participate fully in our activities. We recognise that each person has unique strengths and support needs, and we are dedicated to providing the right level and type of support for every participant. To achieve this, we have categorised needs into clear, actionable categories and tailor our approaches accordingly. By combining flexible delivery, individualised accommodations, and collaborative planning with families, educators, and practitioners, we aim to remove barriers, promote safety, and foster confidence, skills, and social connection for every individual we serve.

 

Supported

For those who require some additional support we endeavour to cater for their needs within regular classes. In this case behaviours are manageable with support in place from our coaching team.

 

Relevant considerations: ADHD, and autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

 

Modified

For those who require modified activities and a lower coach-to-participant ratio to ensure engagement, progress and safety. 

 

Relevant considerations: ADHD, dyspraxia (developmental coordination disorder), autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and anxiety.

 

Enhanced 

For those who require enhanced safety support, who may have difficulty following instructions or communicating with coaches, necessitating proactive guidance and adaptations. Which may include a parent/guardian buddy system, simplified cues, visual supports, and alternative communication methods.

 

Relevant considerations: cerebral palsy, Down's Syndrome, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech or language delays.

 

Personalised

For those who require a more sensory-friendly environment and activities tailored to individual needs (e.g., adjustments to lighting, noise levels, and equipment with tactile feedback).

At present we cater for children in the Supported category and we are delighted to have secured a small amount of funding to support us to pilot classes for those in the Modified and Enhanced categories.
