OUR PEOPLE
People are central to Movement Evolution Scotland, whether it be the children and young people we coach, our fantastic and enthusiastic team of coaches; our ambitious and entrepreneurial leadership team; or our generous volunteers.
All of our team work with the best interests of the children and young people in the community with the aim of helping them to be fit for their future whatever that may be. Our coaching team are all PVG checked and first aid trained.
THE LEADERSHIP TEAM

Louise Hastie
Co-founder & Director
​
Louise is probably the Director that comes up with the biggest BHAG's (Big Hairy Audacious Goals). She has been sports mad her whole life and graduated from the University of Aberdeen with a Degree in Sports and Leisure Management and from Nottingham Trent University with a Master's Degree in Sports Law. In addition, she has various sports coaching and personal training qualifications. Louise is an experienced sports development professional as well as having experience in sports facility management.

Katy Holt
Co-founder & Director

Katy is positive and enthusiastic and is up for most of the crazy ideas Louise comes up with and comes up with her own as well. Katy has always had a love of sport from the traditional sports of Athletics and Volleyball to the Freespirit sports of Skiing and Kayaking. Katy is a highly experienced personal trainer, a qualified ski instructor and Mum to 16 year old, Amelie. With Katy it is always worth remembering not to get on the wrong side of her as she has a mean front kick from a history of MMA training!

Laura Sorrie

Laura has been a supporter of Movement Evolution Scotland CIC since 2020, since then she has given birth to her daughter Lily and stepped up her relationship with the MES CIC.

THE COACHING TEAM

Louise Hastie
Senior Coach
​
Coach Louise has been coaching youth sport for all of her adult life. While she started coaching Athletics when she was 16 her main sport has been Alpine Skiing, coaching from grass roots level up to National Youth Teams. Her coaching journey has led her to now being a qualified WFPF certified Parkour coach and SSS Rollerski coach as well. In addition Coach Louise is a qualified Personal Trainer with an interest and specialism in youth strength and conditioning.

Isla Ramsay

Coach Isla has a degree in Sports Coaching from Robert Gordon University having gained a HND in Sports Development and Coaching from Glasgow Clyde College. She is passionate about Parkour and keen to encourage more girls to get into the sport.

Sarah Provan
Coach
​
Coach Sarah is an experienced Personal Trainer having qualified with NASM when living in America. Sarah fits working at The Movement Bothy alongside looking after her two young children, Rae and Cooper​. You'll mainly find Sarah delivering on our Evolve Gym Programmes including the Miss Fits Lifting Clubs.
Dan Brown

Coach Dan is Sports and Exercise Science graduate from Robert Gordon's University and former rugby player with Ellon RFC and Gordonian's RFC. He also holds a HND in Sports Coaching from NESCOL, the UKSCA Trainer Award and is currently working towards UKSCA Accreditation.

Amelie Holt
Assistant Coach

Coach Amelie is currently studying Architectural Technology at RGU. She is a product of The Movement Evolution Academy Young Leaders programme.

Thea Aitken
Coach

Coach Thea is a former Scotland age group cyclist and rower. Thea mainly coaches Bike Skills programme while not studying Maths at the University of Strathclyde, but you will see her assisting with other holiday activities as well.

Katy Holt
Senior Coach

Coach Katy has 20 years of experience working in the health and fitness industry as a Personal Trainer. Working with a broad range of clients from general population adults, to those recovering from injury, to young people and school teams preparing for competition. In more recent years her coaching journey has led her to becoming a qualified Ski instructor and WFPF certified Parkour coach.

Kyle Wilkinson

Coach Kyle has a wealth of Parkour experience for someone of his age. A Parkour UK accredited coach Kyle is also an excellent Long Jumper indeed in August 2021 he came second in the Scottish U20s championships.

Ash Armstrong
Coach
​
Coach Ash has a lifelong love of BMX enjoying the creativity and freedom of Freestyle BMX. Her passion and enthusiasm for the sport is evident in her coaching. When not on her BMX (or skateboard) Ash can be found riding her horse, looking after her animals or enjoying #vanlife.​​

Teigan Wilson
Coach

Local girl, Coach Teigan is a PhD student and Sports and Exercise Science graduate from Robert Gordon's University. A football and volleyball lover her unfortunately her playing career was cut short due to an ankle injury.

Zander Williams
Coach
​
Coach Zander is a talented and eclectic individual, an exceptional French Horn player and former competitive Freestyle Skier, Zander taught himself how to skateboard during the Covid restrictions, and in 2023 became a qualified Skateboard Coach.

Euan Hastie

Euan has been invaluable to Movement Evolution Scotland. Leading the way in the construction of The Tough Monkees Obstacles; The Movement Bothy Parkour Park AND The Movement Bothy itself and being hands on help to the leadership team in their quest to achieve their vision for Movement Evolution Scotland.
