Movement Evolution Scotland CIC is a not for profit organisation with three key social objectives. These are:

  • to increase participation in ‘free spirit’ sports and physical activities in North East Scotland;

  • to improve the health and wellbeing of the population of North East Scotland; and

  • to close the attainment gap in North East Scotland through physical activity and ‘free spirit’ sports.

We are determined to ensure that children have the opportunity to access quality movement education and a variety of sports which will encourage them to discover a lifelong love of physical activity.

By creating environments which promote learning through fun and freedom, young people can develop their athletic ability and grow to become socially skilled, confident, healthy individuals.

As an ambitious, not for profit, social enterprise we have big plans for our future and future generations of children and young people in North East Scotland.  To enable us to continue helping children and young people to become competent and confident movers we rely on trading income, grants and fundraising, so if you like what we do and feel you can donate a little to help us continue our work please click the box below.

We are excited to tell you about our plans for The Movement Evolution Bothy.

Since our inception in April 2019 we have been searching for a home to allow us to provide regular movement activities for children, young people and the wider community.  Somewhere that will allow us to run FUNdamental movement classes for Primary aged children in the form of Tough Monkees Classes, Tough Tots classes for pre schoolers, Parkour classes, ASN classes, the MISS FITS programme, the Movement Evolution Performance Sports Performers programme and much, much more!

We are happy to tell you we are set to take on 0.75 acres of land next to Deeside Rugby Club at Woodend, Banchory!!  We intend to install a semi permanent structure which will give us over 180 sq metres of covered space allowing us to not only store our equipment in one place but also have a covered space to deliver classes all year around.  This semi indoor/outdoor space will allow us to have the benefits of moving and exercising outside and with fresh air for some of the year but with shelter from the elements too.

To allow this project to happen we will be organising a number of fundraising activities, so watch this space to see how you can support this project and make it happen over the next couple of months.

We're kicking our fundraising activities off with an easy one!

The Movement Bothy project is now registered with easyfundraising, which means you can raise FREE donations for us every time you shop online. Over 6,000 shops and sites will donate to us when you use easyfundraising to shop with them – at no extra cost to yourself!  These donations really mount up and make a BIG difference to us, so we’d really appreciate it if you could take a moment to sign up and support us. It’s completely FREE and only takes a moment.  Thanks so much for your support!
